Rose Foran is a dynamic human rights and humanitarian consultant and researcher with extensive experience in conflict, post-conflict and emergency contexts. With a background in journalism and as a communications expert, Rose brings an eye for narrative and journalistic muscle to her work and is able to translate complex and often difficult subjects to suit a wide range of audiences.

Over the past 9 years, Rose has worked in countries affected by conflict, crises, and natural disasters (Somalia, Haiti, Myanmar, Israel, Palestine), and with refugee communities across three different regions (Jordan, Lebanon, Greece, Italy, Germany, and Bangladesh) for large and small-budget NGOs and UN agencies alike.

Rose holds degrees from the Johns Hopkins University (BA, International Studies), L’Institut d’études politiques de Paris/Sciences Po (MA, International Security), and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford.

Rose speaks French fluently, is an avid home cook, and a firm believer in bringing a proper coffee set-up as part of your kit, no matter the terrain.
